Eminem's Recovery Tops Album Chart Again, "Love the Way You Lie" Hits #1
Eminem is sitting pretty atop both Billboard's Top 200 album chart and its Hot 100 singles chart. His album Recovery is #1 for a fourth straight week, the first album to stay on top of the chart that long since Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream spent six weeks at #1 last last year. Meanwhile, his collaboration with Rihanna, "Love the Way You Lie," has managed to knock Katy Perry out of the #1 spot on the Hot 100 after six long weeks. It falls to #2.
"Love the Way You Lie" is Em's fourth #1 hit -- his third came just this past May, with "Not Afraid." This is Rihanna's seventh #1 hit since she first debuted as an artist back in 2006. No other artists has notched as many #1 hits in that same time frame.
In addition to Billboard, "Love the Way You Lie" also #1 on a new survey called The Ultimate Chart, compiled by the Internet music tracking company Big Champagne. In addition to sales, the survey also tallies a song's popularity based on sites like Pandora, YouTube, Facebook, AOL, Yahoo and more.
